I had the absolute pleasure of working with Pipeline Talent throughout the recruitment process for my newest position. From the very first conversation, I was struck by how genuine, supportive, and culturally grounded the process was.
Megan, in particular, brought a remarkable blend of professionalism, warmth, and care to every interaction. She took the time to understand my experience, values, and aspirations, and walked alongside me every step of the way, not just as a recruiter, but as a true advocate.
The process itself was one of the most thoughtful and well-structured I’ve experienced. It began with an initial phone screen that felt more like a conversation than an interview, something I valued. From there, I progressed to a panel interview with the Executive Director and senior leadership team at the organisation, where I had the opportunity to share my perspective on driving strategic outcomes for First Nations communities. The second stage involved preparing and presenting a 12-month strategic plan, an excellent opportunity to outline how I would approach the role and lead with purpose. The final stage was an incredibly meaningful meeting with the companies First Nations Advisory Group. This discussion affirmed for me how seriously the client takes cultural safety, self-determination, and accountability to the community.
Throughout the process, I was also asked to provide both cultural and professional references, something that reflected the depth of understanding and respect both organisations have for culturally informed leadership. It was clear that Pipeline Talent and the employer weren’t just recruiting to fill a role; they were seeking alignment of values, vision, and lived experience.
I’m deeply grateful to Megan and Rachelle from Pipeline Talent team for creating such a respectful, supportive, and empowering experience. Their approach to recruitment is grounded in cultural integrity and a genuine commitment to lifting up First Nations leaders. I’m equally grateful to my new employer for the opportunity to contribute to such a values-driven organisation, one that has a long and proud history of advocating for social justice and walking alongside community.
This has been more than a recruitment process; it’s been a journey of cultural alignment, mutual respect, and shared purpose. I feel truly honoured to be stepping into this role and look forward to making meaningful contributions to the company’s ongoing work in advancing equity, inclusion, and self-determination
