EDUCATION ASSISTANT / COURT SUPPORT WORKER

2 DAYS PER WEEK (May lead to full-time work)

Based in Holder and Civic

Education Assistant (Wednesday)

A new program, Surviving Out Side for former detainees is commencing. An education assistant will support the educator and learners in an adult life skills course and do course administration tasks.

Court support Worker (Thursday)

The court support worker will attend Galambany Circle Sentencing sessions, promoting Tjillari Justice and the support that it offers through the SOS program. They will make contact, do initial assessments and ensure attendance.


Ideally, the successful applicant will –

  • Have experience working with adult learners
  • Have experience in the justice system
  • Have experience working with community organisations
  • Be interested in Lifelong learning
  • Have good people skills
  • Have sound organisational and administrative skills
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be able to maintain case management notes
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Have a current ACT Driver’s licence
  • Have a current ACT Working with vulnerable people card
