Paralegal (Mulleun Mura)
About the role
The Paralegal will be part of the Mulleun Mura Team and works under the general direction of the Solicitors for the program. The paralegal provides essential support to lawyers and performs a wide range of legal tasks, including legal research, drafting documents and managing case files in an accurate and timely way. You will also play a crucial role in client relationships, gathering information, and maintaining communication between the team and their clients.
- Perform intake assessments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of other community and legal services to support effective referrals.
- Maintain accurate data and records.
- Provide high quality legal secretarial support and support workflow systems. • Communicate with ongoing clients of the Centre in relation to appointments, and other matters as directed.

Ideal Candidate
- This role would suit a First Nations law student, someone who has completed other relevant qualifications or someone with other relevant work experience.
- Desirable – Law student in second or third year of law degree; or previous experience in a paralegal role.
